Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Winter Conference 2022

It has been an amazing two days attending the SCBWI Winter Conference, so much information and wonderful speakers.

I have been taking so many notes and as I try to organize them, I will post some of the most important things that I have learned.

I will start with this advice that was given a lot, "You BE You!" it was said a lot, don't copy other people, don't compare yourself to other people. You can see what is on the market, what other writers and illustrators are doing and what editors, literary agents and art directors are looking for and see where you fit in, but don't change, you be you. That was the best message so far!
