Society of Illustrators Annual Exhibition

During the SCBWI 2022 Winter Confrence either at the art directors panel or the illustrators committee Q&A a catalog was brought up for the Society of Illustrators 2021 Original Art Exhibition. 2021 was the 41st anniversary of this exhibition showing the most outstanding children's book illustrations. It was recommened that people get the catalog as examples of what some of the best art looks like in the children's book illustration market. It is a good reference for a person to use not only because you can research the artists, but that it also lists the art directors and editors who worked on the books. I decided to go ahead a purchase the catalog and I think that I will be getting them every year. Mainly because it is a good reference and also a great dream to strive for, someday being in the exhibition as one of the best illustrators in children's books.
